The 28 Day Challenge

If you're a driven, high-achiever, I have a challenge for you. We’re about halfway through Q1. We can’t claim it’s the beginning of the year anymore. It’s time for an honest assessment of where you’re at and where you’re going. How are you doing on the goals you set to start the year? Do you have positive momentum working for you? Or negative momentum working against you? If you continue on your current trajectory, will you hit your goals? What about those personal goals? Weight loss? Relationships? Spiritual growth? How are those working right now? If you’re in great shape in all these places, good for you. Pat yourself on the back, stop reading, and rock on!

However, if you’re like me and you need a serious momentum boost, you really should consider the 28-Day Challenge. In a nutshell, the 28-Day Challenge is a commitment to pick ONE area of your life or business where you want to create huge momentum and be ALL IN for 28 days of MASSIVE, FOCUSED, ACTION. The idea is to attack with such INTENSITY that you manufacture a shift in that one area so monumental it creates months or even years of positive momentum to follow. Last year about this time I focused on weight loss with a radical diet and exercise plan that allowed me to lose 30 pounds in 28 days. But the momentum generated by those 28 days carried me through the rest of the year.

If you’re focused on prospecting, you may commit to five hours per day on the phone instead of two. Or you could do 200 calls per day instead of 50. Or you could call all 2000 of your past clients during those 28 days. The idea is to massively stretch your limits for a relatively short period of time, which achieves results that create unstoppable momentum to carry you forward. I’m sure you get the idea of how you can apply this concept to any area of your life. I’m here to tell you I’ve done it and it works – if you truly put together an intense action plan that scares you.
